Florida-headquartered telecommunications company Airspan Networks Inc. has laid off dozens of employees in Israel, according to one person familiar with the matter who spoke to Calcalist on condition of anonymity. The company’s local management team declined Calcalist’s request for comment.

The company’s local outpost was founded in 1999 as RDC Communications, and was acquired in 1998 for $39 million by Marconi Communications Ltd., and sold again in 2002 to Airspan Networks.
