Tel Aviv University to Launch a Crop Protection Research Program With Pesticide Company Adama

As part of the partnership, Adama will invest in a new research laboratory, and will offer scholarships to 25 students in the fields of chemistry, life sciences, and engineering

Tel Aviv University is set to launch a joint crop protection research program with China-headquartered pesticide manufacturer Adama Ltd., the two announced last week. No financial details were provided.

As part of the partnership, Adama will invest in a new research laboratory, and will offer scholarships to 25 students in the fields of chemistry, life sciences, and engineering. The program will be held at the Adama Center for Novel Crop Protection Delivery Systems at Tel Aviv University.

Adama is the result of a 2017 merger between Israel-based Adama Agricultural Solutions Ltd. and Chinese pesticide producer Hubei Sanonda Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of chemicals company ChemChina.
