CTalk: NTT Is Looking for Israeli Partners, Says CEO

Phones now only make up 17% of the company’s revenue, according to Jun Sawada, CEO of Tokyo-listed telecommunications company The Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. (NTT),  whospoke to CTech reporter Adi Pick at the 2020 OurCrowd Global Investor Summit, held Thursday in Jerusalem. NTT is in the process of evolving from just a telecom to a company that provides additional services, such as IT.

Tokyo-headquartered NTT, which employs almost 300,000 people worldwide, is the third largest telecommunications company in the world.

“Israel has a lot of innovative ventures and a lot of high technology companies, so we look for good collaborations with Israeli ventures,” Sawada said, commenting on the purpose of his visit.
