The electricity market has undergone dramatic changes in recent years, turning from a centralized market with large manufacturers servicing thousands of customers, to a market where everyone can produce and store energy at home, according to energy technology expert Nissan Caspi. The CEO of IP Innovative Power GmbH, Caspi spoke Thursday at Calcalist's WeTech Berlin 2020 conference, held in collaboration with Israel's Bank Leumi and German real estate company Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC.
The electricity market is headed for a revolution, akin to that of the mobility market when transportation transitioned from horse-drawn carriages to cars, Caspi said.
