Artificial intelligence can help save many lives in the health sector, according to Björn Von Siemens, co-founder of surgical automation, AI, and data analytics company Caresyntax Inc. Von Siemens spoke Thursday at Calcalist's WeTech Berlin 2020 conference, held in collaboration with Israel's Bank Leumi and German real estate company Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC.
If you go into surgery, there is a 5% to 30% chance you will suffer complications, said Von Siemens, adding that 50% of that risk can be diminished by the use of technology.
Caresyntax uses data analytics to help hospitals reduce surgical risk and improve outcomes. In January, Caresyntax launched a research and development collaboration with Israel’s Sheba Medical Center.
