Japan's Marubeni Backs Airplane Parts Marketplace ePlane in $9 Million Round

On ePlane's marketplace, users can search for aircraft parts and repair services, compare prices, and communicate with vetted sellers and buyers

Online aircraft parts marketplace ePlane Inc. has raised a $9 million funding round, the company announced Tuesday. The round was led by Tokyo-listed trading company Marubeni Corp., with participation from existing, undisclosed investors.

Registered in Cyprus in 2015, El Al-backed ePlane offers an online marketplace platform for the aerospace industry. Users can search for aircraft parts and repair services, compare prices, and communicate with vetted sellers and buyers. The company has offices in Bnei-Brak, east of Tel Aviv, and processes $50 million in monthly orders from more than 4,000 companies in the aerospace industry, according to company statements.
