Travel Medicine Startup Air Doctor Raises $7.8 Million

Air Doctor operates an online marketplace and a mobile app that helps travellers locate medical professionals

Travel medicine startup Air Doctor Ltd. has raised $7.8 million in a series A funding round, the company announced Monday. The round was led by Kamet Ventures, the insurtech incubator and investment fund of French investment and asset management firm AXA Group, and Israel-based Phoenix Insurance Company Ltd. The new round brings the company’s total funding raised to date to $10.9 million, according to the company statement.  

In a statement, Air Doctor said it intends to use the funds to strengthen its medical network and research and development capabilities, and for expansion into additional sectors, including insurance, telecom, and credit card services.
