Newly formed medtech startup MigVax Corp., which is working on a coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine, has appointed Eyal Desheh as the chairman of its board of directors, the company announced Tuesday.
Desheh also currently serves as the chairman of Isracard Ltd., a Tel Aviv-listed credit card that spun off of Bank Hapoalim, one of Israel's two largest banks. Earlier in his career, Desheh was the chief financial officer of Nasdaq-listed network and cloud security provider Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., before taking on the same role at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.
In April, Jerusalem-based equity crowdfunding company OurCrowd Ltd. announced it was leading a $12 million round for MigVax.
