Tel Aviv-based shopping automation startup Trigo Vision Ltd. has appointed Eli Gorovici as chief business officer, the company announced Monday. Before joining Trigo Gorovici was the general manager of security products for NYSE-listed Irish conglomerate Johnson Controls International PLC and the general manager of innovation at security systems company Tyco International PLC.
Founded in 2017, Trigo uses in-store ceiling-mounted cameras to identify items picked up by customers, automatically charging them as they leave the store to create a no-checkout shopping experience. Last year, the company, which has raised $34 million to date, announced a collaboration with London-listed British supermarket chain Tesco PLC.
