In recent years, efforts have increased to find solutions to global and local environmental challenges as well as to introduce sustainable innovation into various industries. These moves are motivated by concern for natural resources and the environment but have also created new business opportunities for traditional companies and enabled new startups to break into the field.

In the first of a special series of panels dealing with the challenges and opportunities, experts from the Israeli and abroad discussed the topic of regulation and policymaking and their impact on encouraging green innovation.

The speakers on the panel included Sir Laurie Bristow, COP26 Regional Ambassador; Alzbeta Klein, IFC’s Director and Global Head of Climate Business; Anya Eldan, VP, Israel Innovation Authority - StartUp Division; and Einat Klein Head of Innovation at BAZAN Group Oil Refineries Ltd.
