After not being able to attend the largest arms and defense exhibition in the Middle East in Abu Dhabi in late February due to Covid-19 restrictions, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) will finally have an opportunity to showcase some of its capabilities in the UAE this week when it participates in the CyberTech exhibition hosted in Dubai between April 5-7.

CyberTech is the largest networking event for the cyber industry outside of the U.S., and the IAI said it plans to utilize the event to promote "communication and local cooperation with local government agencies, defense forces, local industries and academic initiatives, in order to further expand the company’s activity in the region."

Since the signing of the Abraham Peace Accords between Israel and the UAE accords, IAI has signed several agreements with companies and organizations in the Gulf. The IAI declared a Memorandum of Understating (MoU) with Group 42 to fight against the Covid-19 virus, as well as with EDGE Defense to cooperate on producing defense solutions for the region. IAI is the leader of IC3, the Israeli Cyber Companies Consortium, and IAC3, the Israeli Aviation Cyber Companies Consortium, both of which were established under the auspice of Israel's Ministry of the Economy.

"IAI delivers solutions in the cyber domain to customers worldwide in addition to our vast portfolio in space, air, land sea and HLS," Boaz Levy, IAI's President and CEO. "Over the past year throughout the Covid-19 crisis, in particular, we saw increased demand for cyber security solutions, for enterprises, critical infrastructures, governments and nation states."
