Global telecommunications provider AT&T is expanding its operations in Israel and has announced the opening of a brand new R&D center in Tel Aviv’s ToHa Tower. The center will be an addition to the R&D center which already has 500 employees and the company plans to hire an additional 100 people to expand its activities to cloud solutions. Both centers will operate with a hybrid work model, allowing employees to work from home occasionally.

“The development center in Israel is responsible for driving innovative technologies for hundreds of millions of AT&T users around the globe, and leads strategic initiatives for the entire company", said Nataly Kremer, VP Software Delivery Services at AT&T and General Manager of AT&T Israel. "As part of the center's growth and development process in the country, we are looking for quality team members who are as enthusiastic as we are about working with advanced technologies on a large scale.”

The company established its R&D center in 2007 following the acquisition of Interwise, an Israeli company specializing in conference solutions. The AT&T R&D center in Israel is responsible for the development of software products in all the company's strategic areas of activity. These include 5G networks, digital solutions, advanced products for managing first responder systems worldwide, and now will also include cloud technologies.

AT&T will be joining many other large companies that are challenged with having to hire a slew of Israeli talent in a climate that is struggling to fill the opening positions.
