Cybersecurity company CYE was hailed by its investors as the Spotify of its own industry, so CTech caught up with its Founder and CEO Reuven Aronashvili to hear how exactly the analogy came to be.

“One of the things that are very amazing when you look at Spotify is that first they invented a new field that was known for years,” Aronashvili explained. Comparing how the music streaming platform challenged the first generation of audio players like the iPod and iTunes store, CYE also takes a next-gen approach to its methodology. Acting with an ‘offensive’ approach, the company helps identify problem areas for clients by conducting a tailor-made attack on its systems and fixing the located issues.

“Being able to consume music in a very user-friendly way and an approachable and accessible way - we are doing the same thing for cybersecurity,” he continued. “We are taking the technical aspect of it and translating it into language that everyone can understand.”
