Global sports media company DAZN Group has acquired Israeli startup Texel and will use it as the foundation for its new innovation hub in Israel to be named DAZN X.
Texel, which develops video streaming solutions, employs 50 people in its Tel Aviv office and they are all set to join DAZN's team. DAZN X will operate as a global business unit across all DAZN’s core markets.
"DAZN X will focus on developing interactive and engaging content layers for fans as part of DAZN’s sports streaming service," the company said.
