“Attackers are innovating, so we need to do the same”

“We roll out illusive technology in order to detect threats and actors in outside environments. Illusive Networks does a lot of identity risk management,” Ofer Israeli, CEO and founder of Illusive Networks, told CTech’s Yafit Ovadia in an interview during Calcalist and Leumi Tech’s Mind the Tech New York 2021 conference, which took place in Manhattan on Tuesday. Israeli added that companies are leaving behind a trail, which enables attackers easy entry into endpoint servers. “We’ve identified the challenges, and how to get rid of them.”

In addition, Israeli clarified that Illusive Networks operates strictly in the defensive cyber sphere. Today, there are a multitude of ways attackers can harm organizations, such as the recent wave of ransomware attacks, and that on the Keystone Pipeline in the U.S. However, Israeli believes that there is a need for a variety of solutions to enable the world to better cope with threats. “So much more innovation needs to happen. The reality is we’re losing. Attackers aren’t playing by the same rules anymore, they’re moving forward and innovating, so we need to do the same.”
