Interest rates, geopolitical threats and climate crisis are all market disruptors, says Head of Technology at KPMG Israel

There are several market disruptors that can disturb and upend the prosperity currently being experienced, noted Dina Pasca-Raz, Head of Technology at KPMG Israel. “Interest rates are practically at zero, and there’s a lot of liquidity that exists in the market, so that’s the macroeconomy potential disruptor. Geopolitical threats are another disruptor as well, and companies need to choose between expanding to either the East or West,” she told CTech’s Yafit Ovadia in an interview at the Calcalist Mind the Tech New York 2021 conference in Manhattan on Tuesday. Other disruptors she mentioned include the shortage in the high tech workforce for trained professionals, the climate crisis, and growing social disparity.
“After witnessing the natural disasters, the fires and floods that took place over the summer, I think we all understand that it isn’t just the climate, this issue relates to food, agtech, and waste management or recycling. There are a lot of challenges here,” she said. Watch the full interview above.
