“API’s expose a lot of holes to attackers, and that’s where we come in”

“Salt Security is an API security startup, and API’s (application programming interfaces) connect everything from mobile apps to IoT (the internet of things) devices and more. Some 83% of internet traffic is API traffic, so we need to monitor this a lot more. API’s expose a lot of holes to attackers,” co-founder and CEO of Salt Security Roey Eliyahu told CTech’s Yafit Ovadia at the Calcalist and LeumiTech 2021 conference last week. “We help companies detect attackers, look for vulnerabilities in their API’s, and prevent them from attacking.”

Salt Security protects a variety of companies, he noted, including mobile companies, insurance companies and retail.
