“We are transforming the way we manage trees with data,” said Israel Talpaz, the co-founder and CEO of SeeTree, in an interview with CTech during Calcalist’s Energy Conference earlier this week. “Trees are vital for humanity. They have been in the past and they will be even more so going forward. But the way we manage trees is as it was done hundreds of years ago, still done with the eyes and the legs of the farmer.”

“SeeTree,” Talpaz went on, “is a four and half-year-old startup, based in Israel, that specializes in providing farmers and growers of trees with actionable data that helps them optimize their farming. Basically, it enables them to get more fruit out of each and every tree and every acre that they farm, and we do this with data. Providing them with unique and very accurate data that helps them operate.”

“We need to make everything digital, we need to digitize each and every tree and we are using the best technologies to do that. We are using remote sensing based on aerial imagery, drones, satellites, planes, cars all of them together to map and measure each and every tree. After we digitize every tree we measure their health status, we use the best AI available and we teach our machines to analyze trees as the best agronomist would do.” Talpz concluded by saying “We are creating a platform for farmers to really manage their farms in a totally different way.”
