“All of us know there is a growing demand for food, the population of the world is growing and we need to reduce our carbon footprint,” explained Khalil Abu Rabeah Ph.D., Fertilizers Technology and Global R&D Director at ICL. “If we’re going to produce more fertilizers this is the limit. We need to provide more smart solutions, sustainable solutions, green ones, and of course always bring tangible benefits for the farmers. It’s all going together.”

Israel’s ICL develops, produces, and markets fertilizers and other special-purpose chemical products. As one of the Negev’s biggest employment sources, the company is helping provide tangible ways that farmers and businesses can help keep a healthy planet.

“I think it’s clear that all of us, by 2050, need to have net-zero, and we are acting in this field also because we believe any business needs to be responsible for keeping the main solution, helping bring less pollution for the environment.”
