Israeli startup anywell, which is developing a Workspace-as-a-Service platform for a hybrid work model, has laid off another 11 employees, including six in Israel, meaning it has reduced its workforce by around 50% since March. A total of 14 employees have left the company since it announced a $10 million Series A five months ago, with some leaving as their roles become redundant due to the company’s decision to reorganize its business activity.

CEO and Co-founder of anywell, Gadi Royz, told Calcalist that the company assisted those who were laid off to find new jobs and provided them with generous support packages. Its Series A in March was led by Pitango and Viola Ventures with other participants including Emerge.

Anywell, founded by Gadi Royz, Ori Naishtein, Erez Tadmor, and Tomer Sharon, helps companies transition to a hybrid work model by enabling employees to work from spaces in their local communities. The company said in March that it has a market presence in Israel and New York, and has already partnered with over 200 hosts, ranging from cafes and co-working spaces to hotels, gyms, and more.

"Due to the situation in the market and the needs of our clients for comprehensive solutions for the challenges of hybrid management, anywell started a reorganization process while adjusting the company's focus," the company said. "As part of that, the company will focus more on software-based solutions and was forced over the past couple of months to part ways with 11 employees from the operational staff, including six in Israel. The company is assisting the employees as much as possible with optimal departing conditions and in finding new opportunities. Several of the employees have already found a new workplace."
