Japanese giant Fujitsu Limited will open a new center for research and development in Tel Aviv that will focus on innovation in the field of data and security.
The Tel Aviv-based center, which is set to open in April 2023, will initially include a team composed of around 10 experts recruited from Israel alongside researchers from Japan and Europe. This team, which will be headed by General Manager Dr. Adel Rouz (CEO of Fujitsu Research of Europe), will be dedicated to strengthening security technology for communications networks as part of Fujitsu’s global strategy for Data and Security, one of five key technology areas under the company’s global R&D strategy.
This latest move follows the establishment of the "Fujitsu Cybersecurity Center of Excellence in Israel" at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev in 2021.
