"Whatever the members are focusing on is reflected in our activity. Obviously we are very focused on cyber and fintech as these are areas that are naturally very successful between Israel and the UK. We are also dealing a lot with healthcare, and especially in recent years with environmental issues," said Anita Leviant, President of the Israel-Britain Chamber of Commerce and Innovation and head of LA Global Consulting, speaking with CTech at Mind the Tech London.

Leviant explained why the Chamber recently added "Innovation" to its title. "The reason we added 'Innovation' to our name was that we found out that like the State of Israel we are really focused on innovation. We just recently led a delegation of successful Israeli cybersecurity companies to meet potential buyers of the products."

Leviant also stressed the significance of the new Free Trade Agreement currently being negotiated between the countries. "Currently we are working under an agreement signed in 1955. The new free trade agreement aims to deal with everything that has changed since and take us to the future. You can't enjoy services in software and IT between the countries without regulating and removing barriers for these trade relations."
