“I'm 22, and I know a lot of the difficulties Gen-Z have when approaching to learn something,” explained Matan Yariv, Co-Founder and CTO at Minded. The company connects Gen-Z to digital courses by taking elements from social media and concepts from the marketing world and implementing them into a social media app. The idea is that the new form of education scouting can encourage young people to learn more in ways that suit them.

“You have a lot of difficulties deciding what to learn, and when you decide you need to search the hundred and thousands of results on the Internet to find the specific course that is suitable for you,” Yariv continued. “Gen-Z just doesn't do that. Let a 16-year-old read the syllabus of a course and see what happens - I bet not much.”

Minded offers previews for a total of 32 courses in the form of TikTok-style introductions from teachers. “Gen-Z is very interested in self-development, we see that a lot,” he added. “Also financial education. Subjects that usually they don't teach in school, which makes sense but it is also surprising.”
