“As a healthcare leader, I see generative AI really transforming healthcare organizations all around the world,” said Ruthy Kaidar, EMEA Healthcare Leader Providers and Payors at Microsoft. “In Israel especially, we see great adoption of generative AI technologies for clinical uses, for patient experience, and operational use cases. We really see the industry and the ecosystem changing in front of our eyes. And it's pretty amazing.”

Kaidar made the remarks at AISrael, an event hosted by Microsoft and Calcalist celebrating the GenAI industry, notably in areas such as healthcare or fintech. For the former, it has transformative potential depending on where it is deployed worldwide.

“For the systems that are used, the protocols, the regulatory aspects, sometimes there's a different data governance in each country,’ she continued. “So what we do is work very closely with each organization, but also with each government, to understand how the technology can comply with the local regulations and what can be used.”

Kaidar confirms that despite the difference in culture and policy, there is usually 80% that can be used as is between countries with the remaining 20% specific to regional protocols. “That 20%, we work very closely with governments and organizations to make sure that it's fully compliant with each country.”
