Prime Security nets $6 million in Seed to build guardrails into the software design phase
The Israeli startup's design-stage security product removes the friction between security and engineering by applying AI to understand product intentions and provide security guidelines to all stakeholders.
Prime Security, which is developing an AI-powered product to let security teams build guardrails into software design, has announced that it has raised $6 million in Seed funding. The round was led by Foundation Capital with participation from Flybridge Capital Partners and angel investors, and will help the company detect, prioritize and mitigate security and compliance risks before development starts.

Angel investors included Sam Gutmann, Co-founder and CEO, Own Company; Adrian Kunzle, CTO, Own Company (ex. CTO JPM); Assaf Keren, CSO, Qualtrics (ex.CISO PayPal); Dimitri Sirota, Co-founder and CEO, BigID; Michael Callahan, Board Member, Datadog; and Omer Schneider, Co-founder and CEO of CyberX (acq. by Microsoft).
The Prime design-stage security product removes the friction between security and engineering by applying AI to understand product intentions and provide security guidelines to all stakeholders, making their products “Secure by Design”. Prime integrates with tools such as Jira and Confluence to identify security risks at their inception, provide deep contextualization for every identified risk, and deliver customized security requirements to mitigate identified risks.
