Tripledot Studios, a London-based mobile game developer co-founded by Israeli entrepreneurs Lior Shiff and Eyal Chameides, announced Thursday the acquisition of AppLovin’s mobile games studio portfolio for approximately $800 million in a half-cash, half-equity deal.

The transaction will see AppLovin become a minority shareholder in Tripledot, while enabling the Israeli-founded company to expand its presence in key strategic markets including the United States and Asia. Upon completion of the deal, Tripledot will operate 12 studios with more than 2,500 team members across 23 cities globally, and will reach 25 million daily active users and nearly $2 billion in annual gross revenues.
