Catch us here each day as we bring you updates from Israel and around the world relating to the ongoing conflict with Iran.
14:07 - “If the campaign will be short-lived, foreign capital will flow into Israel, and new investments will follow”
The shekel continues to strengthen at the opening of the foreign exchange week, extending last week’s rally, fueled in part by the American attack on Iran. The U.S. dollar is down 0.5% to 3.47 shekels, while the euro has declined 0.8% to approximately 3.99 shekels.
In parallel, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened with modest declines after six consecutive days of gains. This shift comes against the backdrop of renewed missile launches from Iran, which reportedly damaged Israeli infrastructure, including assets belonging to the Israel Electric Corporation.
13:08 - Israel strikes Tehran prison holding dissidents amid attacks on key regime sites
The IDF struck the entrance of Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison overnight, in what Defense Minister Israel Katz described Monday as part of an “unprecedented” wave of attacks targeting key organs of the Iranian regime, including internal repression sites in the heart of the capital.
12:34 - Despite war, Tel Aviv stocks outpace Wall Street in 2025
The American bombing of Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility on Saturday night triggered a wave of optimism on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE), setting the stage for a day of gains. As investors woke Sunday morning to news of the attack, markets surged on hopes that U.S. involvement in the conflict would expedite the elimination of what many perceive as Israel’s existential threat from Iran.
12:20 - Israelis abroad will be able to sign an affidavit via Zoom without going to the consulate
The decision is intended to make it easier for tens of thousands of lawyers in Israel in their work with Israeli clients abroad while adapting to technological developments. The decision was made by the National Ethics Committee at the Bar Association, which guides lawyers on how to act ethically.
12:10 - IDF striking regime targets ‘with unprecedented force’ in Tehran, says Katz
Defense Minister Israel Katz says the IDF is “currently striking with unprecedented force regime targets and governmental repression bodies in the heart of Tehran.”
“For every \[missile\] fired at the Israeli home front, the Iranian dictator will be severely punished, and the strikes will continue with full intensity. We will continue to act to defend the home front and defeat the enemy until all war objectives are achieved,” he says in a statement.
Soon after, unverified videos started appearing on social media of what appeared to be Tehran Power Distribution Company getting hit in an Israeli strike.
12:00 - Within a week, property damage in Operation Rising Lion is twice that of Iron Swords
Director of the Compensation Fund, Amir Dahan, in the Finance Committee: "Even if the war ended tomorrow, we would reach 50,000 claims." The damage from the operation is estimated to be 5 billion shekels so far - twice as much as that caused during the entire Iron Sword War following October 7.
Dahan explained that the unusualness of the current operation is also reflected in the number of buildings that were completely destroyed: "Usually the direct damage is much smaller. Since October 7, only one building in Haifa has been destroyed, and here we are talking about more than 25 buildings."
11:30 - Alerts sound in northern and central Israel, Just 6-7 missiles were launched from Iran in four waves
The missiles were fired over a 40-minute period and there are no reports of injuries. Several impacts were reported in open areas.
07:00 - "I'm sitting in a restaurant alone, no one comes in or out": The war continues and independent businesses collapse
Covid-19, October 7, and now war: Small businessowners are once again left without income, and they are embarking on a war of survival demanding a compensation plan. "People are afraid to come, work has dropped by 70%," says Givon Peled, owner of a therapeutic clinic in Herzliya.
157,577 self-employed people (76% of those eligible for compensation) report a dramatic decrease in income - with thousands of them in danger of collapse.
06:53 - The rally in the shekel also continues: the dollar is below 3.47 shekels, the euro is at 3.98
Following the American intervention in Iran, the Shekel strengthened by 3.5% in the past week. The dollar loses more than 0.5% against the local currency, the euro drops by 0.8%.
Similar to the trend on the local stock exchange, which closed yesterday with its sixth consecutive day of gains since the start of the Iranian war, the shekel continues to strengthen at the start of the foreign exchange week after its rally last week. The dollar is down 0.6% and is trading below 3.67 shekels, the euro is down 0.8% to 3.98 shekels.
05:20 - ‘Monumental damage’: President Donald Trump describes Iran’s nuclear sites as 'Obliteration'

Oil prices surge in early trade in the wake of US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites on Sunday.
Brent and the main US crude contract WTI both jumped more than 4% to hit their highest price since January.
They then pare gains, however, with Brent up 2.4% at $78.83 per barrel and WTI up 2.5% at $75.66.
Last night Iran had voted to close the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow channel between Iran and Oman and a chokepoint for roughly 25% of the world's seaborne oil trade — and around 20% of all oil movements.
01:30 - "MIGA?" Trump does not rule out regime change in Iran: "Make Iran Great Again!"
MAGA supporters may be frustrated by the attack, but the president is already announcing a new term - "MIGA" ("Make Iran Great Again"), and wondering why the Ayatollah regime should be allowed to remain unharmed.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote : "It is not politically correct to use the term 'regime change,' but if the current Iranian regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why not Regime change??? MIGA!!!"
