“We are targeting the wide array of companies in Israel specifically because of the ecosystem”
Nadav Tamam, Regional Director for Enterprise, Airwallex Middle East, made the remarks at Calcalist and Bank Leumi’s Mind The Tech in London.
“Airwallex is targeting a wide array of companies,” said Nadav Tamam, Regional Director for Enterprise, Airwallex Middle East. “We are serving NASDAQ-listed companies, smaller hyper-growth companies that are actually looking to expand globally, all the way down to the local e-commerce website that actually wants to make collections more efficiently and get payments more efficiently.”
Airwallex is a cross-border payments platform that assists companies with a very advanced financial operating system. Tamam was speaking to CTech at Calcalist and Bank Leumi’s Mind The Tech conference in London about how it allows clients to manage their funds, collect funds globally from various locations, and become smarter, faster, and more commercially efficient.
“So we are targeting the wide array of companies in Israel specifically, naturally, because of the ecosystem itself. We are serving a lot of different startups and advantages are really suiting them in the best way possible.”
The company opened an Israeli branch two years ago, which, by its own admission, is an interesting time to enter the market. “I’m happy to say that right now, two years forward, we are fifteen people and we are recruiting and growing at a very aggressive pace because of the unparalleled strength of the Israeli market. Even despite these times, and it's basically non-proportional to its size, right?”
