Itay Inbar appointed partner at Greenfield Partners

The fund, established in 2016, manages assets of more than $1 billion and invests in early-stage startups in the fields of cyber, AI and deeptech. Inbar is a graduate of the IDF Intelligence Directorate and previously worked at Goldman Sachs.

Greenfield Partners has announced the appointment of Itay Inbar as a partner in the fund. Inbar joined Greenfield Partners growth fund as a principal in 2021 and has led several key investments for the fund, including: Torq, Eleos Health, Dustphotonics, Silverfort, Panorays, and Goodship. Prior to joining the fund, Inbar was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs’ Tel Aviv office, and before that served in the IDF Intelligence Directorate.

Originally joining Greenfield as part of the fund’s Tel-Aviv based investment team, Inbar moved in the past year to the U.S. to lead the fund’s investment team in NY and expand its U.S. presence.

Greenfield was established in 2016 as the Israeli investment arm of TPG and became independent in 2020. The fund invests in early-stage startups, mostly in Series B and C rounds, in a variety of areas including cyber, infrastructure, vertical AI, and deeptech.

The fund's partners are Shay Grinfeld, Yuda Doron, Avery Schwartz, Raz Mangel, and Nir Goldstein. Greenfield operates from offices in Tel Aviv and New York and currently manages assets in three funds totaling over $1 billion. The fund has a history of exits, including the sale of Guardicore to Akamai for approximately $600 million, the sale of Avanan to Check Point, and the acquisition of Planck by Applied Systems. Other notable successes include unicorns Coralogix, BigPanda, VAST Data, and Capitolis.
