The acquisition aims to strengthen Salesforce’s AI R&D center in Israel and accelerate the development of agent-based search and knowledge discovery tools for its enterprise customers. The sale marks a significant return for a company that had raised only $7 million to date.
Doti AI was founded in 2024 by Matan Cohen (CEO) and Opher Hofshi (Chief Product Officer), who previously worked together at Wix, leading teams in software development and infrastructure security. The company is developing what it calls an “Organizational Brain,” a unified and secure internal database that connects to all company systems, from structured to unstructured information. The platform allows employees to receive instant answers, insights, and actionable recommendations within the tools they already use, such as Slack or a web browser, while maintaining strict data privacy and security standards.
The company’s $7 million Seed round was led by F2 Venture Capital, with participation from notable angel investors, including Jared Kasner, General Partner at Ineffable Ventures, and Guy Flechter, serial entrepreneur and CEO of Sola Security.
The expertise of the Doti AI team will enhance Salesforce’s enterprise search infrastructure, creating a unified “Agentic Search Layer” across the platform.
“Doti’s expertise fast-tracks our vision to reinvent enterprise search across Salesforce,” said Denise Dresser, CEO of Slack. “Together, we’re transforming how every employee finds, understands, and acts on information, through the power of AI and most importantly the conversational context that lives in Slack.”
