Elbit Systems lands $1.65 billion European defense deal
Undisclosed country to receive rockets, UAVs, and command systems in five-year contract.
Elbit Systems has secured a $1.65 billion deal in Europe to supply an undisclosed country with a broad range of systems, including long-range precision rockets and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of various sizes.
The company has not disclosed the identity of the European country or the full list of products to be delivered over the five-year contract period. However, according to estimates, the package will include PULS rocket launchers, Hermes 900 UAVs, Elbit’s largest drone, as well as other unmanned systems. The deal is also expected to cover command-and-control platforms, intelligence systems, upgrades for combat vehicles, night-vision devices, and more.
Elbit’s latest win comes at a time of strained Israeli foreign relations, which have begun to impact economic matters amid the ongoing war in Gaza. Over the weekend, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced an arms embargo on Israel. “Europe is not a single entity,” Ran Krill, Elbit’s VP of Marketing, told Calcalist. “This is a country looking to upgrade all of its military capabilities using Elbit technologies, consolidated into one comprehensive contract. It’s a broad set of tools and capabilities.”

News of the European mega-deal came just minutes before Elbit released its second-quarter results, reporting nearly $2 billion in revenue, a 21% increase from the same quarter in 2024.
Earlier this week, Elbit also reported a NIS 900 million ($244 million) order from Israel’s Ministry of Defense for the production of various types of munitions, including Rampage precision air-to-ground missiles.
