“With any new technology, there's always a new potential attack surface. But in the case of GenAI, it's something that's different from everything we've seen before,” explained Yael Macias, Head of Marketing at Prompt Security. “First, because GenAI is everywhere in the organization: It's employees that maybe have absolutely nothing to do with tech or with innovation or with security, but they're just using it on their day-to-day work.”

Macias joined CTech to discuss Prompt Security, a cybersecurity firm that was ranked 32nd on Calcalist’s list of Israel’s Most Promising Startups of 2024. The company, founded in August 2023 by CEO Itamar Golan and CTO Lior Drihem, helps enterprises benefit from the adoption of generative AI while also protecting from a range of risks to the applications, employees, and customers.

“With GenAI, what's happened is something very interesting, because the teams within the organization that are innovating with GenAI and are building GenAI products like data scientists, head of AI, CTOs, and others, suddenly need to take into consideration these security concerns,” she explained. “So security suddenly takes a place at the table, and we're there to help with that.”
