Cynomi, an Israeli startup aiming to redefine cybersecurity for service providers, has raised $37 million in a Series B funding round co-led by Insight Partners and Entrée Capital. Cynomi provides an AI-powered virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) platform tailored to Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), consultancies, and telecom firms. Amid growing pressure on mid-market service providers to deliver enterprise-grade cybersecurity without the budget or staff to match, Cynomi offers a solution that automates large parts of the security management stack—one that has drawn increasing interest as the global shortage of cybersecurity professionals deepens.

The company’s platform mimics the role of a human CISO by generating tailored security policies, risk assessments, and compliance plans, all while learning and adjusting to an organization’s environment. It enables service providers to scale their cybersecurity offerings without the costly addition of senior staff.

Cynomi has reported strong commercial traction, tripling its annual recurring revenue (ARR) in 2024, after 4.5x growth the previous year. The firm plans to use the fresh capital to extend its offering to a wider range of service providers, including integrators and resellers, and to expand its US sales operations while deepening its presence across Europe.
