Over $446 million were raised by Israeli startups across 21 deals during September, the second straight month local companies failed to reach $500 million. Local tech companies crossed the $1 billion threshold in both April and May after previously going since August 2022 without reaching that figure over a single month.

September saw 21 deals announced, three times that of August, but the total sum was relatively low compared to previous years due to the lack of mega rounds. Israeli startups raised $960 million in September 2023, largely thanks to the $238 million from Cato Networks and $150 million from HiBob. September 2022 also saw local tech companies raise around $900 million, with over $2 billion raised in September 2021 at the peak of the bubble.
