“The metaverse is not a revolution, it’s a natural evolution”

Matan Efrima, CPO at YOOM, said his company's technology enables people to bring their real selves into the metaverse in order to engage with their audiences

“The metaverse is the future of e-commerce, it is enabling brands to engage with consumers and even more so, it enables consumers to engage with the brands,” said Matan Efrima, CPO at YOOM during an interview with CTech at the Shufersal Online and Calcalist e-commerce event this week. “YOOM is like the camera to the metaverse, we enable people (both professionals and creators) to bring their real selves into the metaverse in order to engage with their audiences.”

YOOM brings human beings into the metaverse in a photo realistic and motion realistic manner. They are enabling a new way of self expression and communication in five interconnected domains: music, sports, entertainment, fashion and gaming. YOOM raised $15 million last month, taking its total funding to date to $50 million.

The Shufersal Online and Calcalist e-commerce event focused on the various aspects of the flourishing world of online commerce, how Israel is beginning to catch up with international markets, the latest trends and forecasts, and emerging technologies from Israel for the promotion of e-commerce.
