From AI companions to clean snacks: Meet the Dream Team heading to Mind the Tech London
Israeli startups heading to Mind the Tech London 2025 will present AI for mental health, healthy-snack technology, sign language avatars, and optical solutions for AR.
An AI agent for managing organizational data, technology for producing healthy snacks, a virtual companion for supporting mental health, advanced electric motors, and real-time sign language translation - these are just some of the Israeli innovations that the Dream Team, Israel’s official startup delegation to Calcalist’s Mind the Tech London 2025 conference, will present to investors and potential partners this week.

Out of hundreds of applicants, 12 startups were selected to join the official delegation to London, which will take place on September 15–16. They will participate in a roadshow that includes meetings with venture capital firms, private investors, and senior executives at global companies, as well as broad media exposure and ongoing professional support.
The selection process was conducted in collaboration with Showcase IL and included several stages: a screening round hosted at the Gornitzky GNY law firm, followed by a Bootcamp workshop at SNC featuring lectures, panels, and training sessions led by senior figures from the fields of high-tech, finance, investment, marketing, and law. Topics included the British investment landscape, raising capital and negotiating with investors, pitching in English, working effectively with the media, and engaging with the British Embassy in Israel.
The Bootcamp and selection process were accompanied by the Leadership Board, a group of industry executives and experts guiding the startups in preparation for investor meetings in London. Members include: Attorney Yuval Horn, Head of the Technology and Life Sciences Practice at Gornitzky GNY; Maya Eisen Zafrir, CEO of LeumiTech; Yair Snir, Managing Partner at Dell Technologies Capital; Eze Vidra, Founder and Partner at Remagine Ventures; Sarit Firon, Managing Partner at Team8; and Yodfat Harel Buchris, Managing Partner at Blumberg Capital.
"I founded Showcase IL out of personal experience and the understanding that the right connection with an investor can change the future of a company," said Hilla Ovil-Brenner, Partner and CEO of Showcase IL. "Our vision is to create precise matches between technology companies and investors in relevant markets. Beyond the Dream Team expeditions abroad, we are building strategic bridges that enable global growth and expansion for our community. I am proud and excited to get started."
Horn addressed entrepreneurs on the legal and managerial aspects of building startups. “It’s not always pleasant to apply for permits and licenses or to discuss what happens if an entrepreneur leaves or is asked to leave,” he said. “But these are critical issues for investors, essential for ensuring fairness, and crucial to enabling a future company sale. Intellectual property regulation, founder agreements, adapting technology to the market, and the responsible use of AI tools, all must be addressed at the earliest stages.”
According to Snir, "In the past two years, Israel has faced fewer investor visits and a slowdown in local investment, so the ability of young companies to reach foreign investors independently is critical."
“The world needs solutions conceived by Israeli minds,” added Eisen Zafrir. “Even in difficult times, you have to take the stage. Israeli startups must be very open to listening while staying true to their vision and the solutions they bring. Our startups are addressing real problems, that makes them stronger and better prepared than ever to outcompete rivals.”
