“I think the fact that we are under a higher level of threat is quite obvious. Clients are facing higher levels of threat from terrorist organizations and enemy countries that are either directly affiliated with the \[7/10\] attacks or indirectly affiliated. We're seeing more attempts and more success in trying to deface sites,” says Ophir Zilbiger, Head of BDO Cybersecurity Center to CTech at Calcalist’s 2024 Forecasts event in Tel Aviv. BDO is a global professional services and audit network with a large cyber consultancy included in their global consulting practice.

“I think we're lucky that organizations in Israel are quite mature in their cybersecurity posture, and that helps us. On the flip side of the coin, many cyber professionals - usually young people - were drafted into the army, leaving organizations a bit exposed, and this is probably where BDO fits in, helping our clients and organizations to meet the current challenges,” says Zilbiger.
