Erez Shachar: Investing in Israel in 2024 following the crisis will present great opportunities
The Qumra Capital Managing Partner and Co-founder spoke to CTech at Calcalist’s Roadshow+ event about the state of the Israeli tech ecosystem
“It is very difficult to be optimistic currently when things are as chaotic as they are, but I have no doubt that 2024 is going to be an incredible year for investments in Israel,” said Erez Shachar, Managing Partner and Co-founder at Qumra Capital. “We are currently in a big crisis that started about two years ago with the burst of the bubble, it continued through the political turmoil in Israel, and then of course during the October 7 events and the war that followed.”
According to Shachar, the ecosystem has “a huge deal flow of companies that are awaiting financing” and that Startup Nation can rest assured knowing these companies will secure funding despite not currently having much capital available. “I have no doubt that the good companies that are out there are going to be funded and succeed,” he added.
