Autotech startup Wisense shutting down
The radar developer raised a total of $37 million, but laid off most of its workforce last November before recently notifying the remaining staff that it would be closing down completely
Autotech company Wisense has laid off all of its employees in recent months and is on the verge of closure. According to IVC, the company raised approximately $37 million in total. Among the investors in the company, which developed radar solutions for the automotive industry, are Shmuel Harlap, one of the first investors in Mobileye, and Eyal Waldman, the founder of Mellanox.

The company's last funding round was in May of last year. The founder of the company is Moshik Cohen, who managed it in the past, with Ofer Shneyour serving as CEO over recent months.
The company once employed as many as 70 employees, but informed around 90% of them that they were being laid off last November. Several employees were retained to oversee the sale of company assets, but they were also recently told that the company would be closing completely soon. The company's website is also no longer active.
