Flow Security develops a cloud data runtime security solution that will allow CrowdStrike to integrate data security posture management (DSPM) in its Falcon XDR platform.
Flow was founded in 2021 by CEO Jonathan Roizin and CTO Rom Ashkenazi. Following his service as an officer in the Intelligence Corps, Roizin served as a team leader at Sygnia, specializing in digital forensics, big data analysis, malware analysis, Windows internals, and Linux internals. Ashkenazi has many years of experience working at the likes of K Health, Armis Security, and Vim.
Flow has raised a total of $13 million to date, including $10 million in Seed funding in August 2022. That round was led by Amiti, with participation from GFC, Amdocs Ventures, and industry leaders such as CyberArk's Udi Mokady, Demisto CEO and co-founder Slavik Markovich, and Alon Kotler Gamzu.
All 30 Flow employees will join CrowdStrike’s growing center in Israel, with the American company, which is currently trading at a market cap of over $71 billion, acquiring Israeli startup Bionic for $350 million less than six months ago. This is CrowdStrike's fourth acquisition in Israel.

“Since our founding, Flow Security has focused on removing the complexity of securing the massive amounts of critical data businesses manage daily. We saw that the market lacked a solution that provided comprehensive protection of the flow of data as it traversed SaaS applications, on-prem, cloud infrastructure, third-party APIs, etc., and that this lack of visibility and control presented a critical risk to the enterprise,” said Jonathan Roizin, CEO of Flow Security. “We look forward to working with the cloud security leader, CrowdStrike, to bring to market the most extensive cloud data protection solution.”
Flow Security helps organizations by continuously mapping and detecting all data-related risks for an improved data security posture. Its platform supports use cases including discovering and classifying data flows to external services, policy enforcement, automatic data-related threat modeling, and reducing data access permissions to the minimum.
“CrowdStrike was born in the cloud and pioneered cloud-native cybersecurity. We have been consistently recognized as the strategic leader in cloud security by delivering the outcomes customers need most from a single, unified platform,” said George Kurtz, co-founder and CEO of CrowdStrike. “With the acquisition of Flow Security, we’re expanding our cloud leadership by protecting data in all states as it flows through the cloud, and are redefining the future of data protection by securing data from code, to application, to device and cloud.”
