This year Calcalist ranked underground mapping solution company Exodigo as the third most promising startup coming out of Israel. When you look at its accomplishments, it is easy to see why.

The company was founded in June 2021 but has already reached 200 employees and is commercially deployed in the U.S., Europe, and Israel. Its solution helps construction and infrastructure projects see what is underground by using AI. In short, the company conducts MRI, CT, and ultrasound scans underground all at once.

According to COO & Strategy Tamir Cohen, the inability of construction sites to see underground is one of the biggest causes of project delays. “This problem is common all over the world,” he told CTech. “It doesn't matter whether you do any projects. It's coming everywhere. And the main cause \[of the incident\] is that you missed utilities. You won't find an electricity line, you don't know about communications or water mains, or sinkholes, everything.”

The company has raised $105 million and plans to double down on signing deals around the world. “One of the things that we are emphasizing first is resilience, how to separate the different geographies and give independence to the great individuals that you bring into the company,” he added. “The second thing we do is not compromise on hiring. We hire and we source top talent.”
