Nope! They are here and now, and will be ubiquitous all over the roads in two or three years if the politicians and naysayer public and fake news skeptics give way. MobilEye has solved all the technical problems, but the main problem is developing a MATHEMATICAL PROOF that driverless cars will be much safer than human driven cars, so that the scientists and politicians will have irrefutable evidence to prove it. The point being to get them street legal ASAP! Because disabled, and old age seniors and blind people need them. And because driverless taxis will be a cash cow for EV manufacturers who will take over the taxi business worldwide. That's the goal.

I don't think it will take decades...but yeah, it seems to have been delayed. Thanks, Obama!
