Current wind turbines without blades will save the birds

In 2006 the US only had 11,575 MW of installed capacity of industrial wind. That is about 6,000 wind turbines. According to these numbers they are claiming one bird kill per turbine a year which is ridiculous. Now that the US has over 60,000 wind turbines that is still only not 5% of our energy but rather only 5% of our electricity.
