Before we can enact laws to control ebikes and escooters we must be able to identify the vehicles. Do you think a police man is going to run after an escooter that is on the sidewalk. When an ebike runs into and damages property or injures someone how do you identify the vehicle as it flees the screen. I saw an ebike run into the side of a parked car and damage the door the other morning and the bike driver just picked up his bike and took off. Perhaps I could have gotten a photo or memorized a license tag.. This week the police put red mats all over the sidewalks saying a 250nis fine for bikes and scooters. No one paid any attention..
