Why Facebook’s Dating Service Will Fail

facebook dating ap
I am hopeful that facebook will do a better job of putting together a dating app than what is available today. Look up the complaints and legit reviews of everybody in this space and you will see the opportunity. Bots, fake profiles, billing your credit card after people said no on auto renewal, dropping your profile for no reason and customer service that is slimy if not non existent. Two conglomerates own almost all the dating sites between them. Anybody could do a better job. I just wish somebody would.

It is believed Facebook is copycatting Tinder and Bumble
Perhaps Facebook is copycatting Tinder and Bumble, with some minor improvement via former eHarmony's team. "The one" or "the perfect match" does not exist. It will only exist a pool of compatible persons, not more than that. They can not promise "the one" or a "perfect match". The Online Dating Industry does not need a 10% improvement, a 50% improvement or a 100% improvement. It does need "a 100 times better improvement. The key to long-lasting romance is STRICT PERSONALITY SIMILARITY and not "meet other people with similar interests". High precision in matching algorithms is precisely the key to open the door and leave the infancy of compatibility testing. Without offering the NORMATIVE 16PF5 (or similar test measuring exactly the 16 personality factors) for serious dating, it will be impossible to innovate and revolutionize the Online Dating Industry.
