Formerly known as Intensix, Clew Medical was one of 30 startups that participated in the delegation, which was led by Shelly Landsmann, the general manager of Microsoft’s operations in Israel.
The delegation met last week with senior executives at Microsoft’s research and development center in Seattle, where the company designs its cloud technologies. They met Scott Guthrie, the number two executive in the company’s cloud division. The entrepreneurs learned about the company’s vision in the areas artificial intelligence, big data, and cybersecurity. They also toured Microsoft’s data center and had one-on-one meetings with company executives. The startups also presented their ventures to Microsoft representatives during a pitching event.
Clew Medical harnesses artificial intelligence technologies to help intensive care units cut down on treatment time and costs. The company’s software tracks real-time data on patients and monitors capacity of healthcare providers. Its big data analytics rely on robust cloud-based storage.
