Automated Branding Company Tailor Brands Raises $15.5 Million

Israel-based Tailor Brands Ltd. raised $15.5 million in a Series C round, the company announced Tuesday, bringing its equity funding raised to $20.6 million. The round was led by Israel-based Pitango Venture Capital and new U.K.-based Armat Fund. Existing investors include Mangrove Capital Partners.

Tailor Brands develops and markets an automated design service that creates logos and advertising campaigns for users. Users can choose to design their logos around an icon, a name or chosen initials, and customize aspects such as font and color. Tailor Brands was established in 2014 by CEO Yali Saar, Nadav Shatz and Tom Lahat, and has corporate headquarters in New York and a development center in Israel. Tailor Brands will use the funding to recruit additional employees in Israel, and to expand the range of its services, Mr. Saar said in a statement.
Providing branding services on a renewable membership basis is a novel idea in the advertising industry, Roy Saar, a partner at Mangrove Capital Partners, said in a statement.
