IAI Subsidiary Elta Appoints New CEO
Yoav Turgeman was chosen to head Elta, the electronic warfare subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries

Elta Systems Ltd., a subsidiary of defense contractor Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI), has appointed Yoav Turgeman to the role of CEO, the company announced Sunday.

Mr. Turgeman has served in a number of senior management positions at IAI for the past 11 years, most recently as general manager of the MLM plant, responsible for developing and manufacturing space technologies and air and missile defense systems. Mr. Turgeman previously headed IAI’s Arrow missile program. Mr. Turgeman has served in the Israeli Navy for 25 years and retired as colonel. Elta is one of Israel’s leading defense electronics companies, developing and manufacturing radars, early warning systems, communication and intelligence technologies, electronic warfare technologies, and cybersecurity products. The company is headquartered in Ashdod, a port city in central Israel, and employs 3,600 people.Government-owned IAI is Israel’s largest aerospace and defense company, developing and manufacturing defense systems including aerial defense, anti-missile, unmanned aerial systems, intelligence and cyber systems, drone disruption, land robotics, and marine systems.
