Shai Weiss, appointed CEO of U.K.-based airline Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd., has joined the board of directors of Nasdaq-listed network and cloud security company Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., the latter announced Monday.

Weiss will replace David Rubner, founder and former president and CEO of Israel-based telecommunications equipment supplier ECI Telecom Ltd., who is retiring after 20 years on the board.

Before joining Virgin Atlantic in 2014, Weiss was an investment partner at the airline’s parent company, Virgin Management Ltd.
