Gig Marketplace Fiverr Opens First Europe Office in Berlin

Tel Aviv-based online gig marketplace Fiverr Int. Ltd. announced Tuesday it has opened its first European office in Berlin.
Fiverr has over 130,000 users in Germany and over 11 million business users worldwide, according to company statements.
As part of its expansion strategy, Fiverr’s plans for the Berlin office include holding training sessions and networking events for freelancers, producing German-speaking informative videos about its services, and introducing additional payment methods.

Founded in 2010 by Micha Kaufman and Shai Wininger, who later founded insurance startup Lemonade Inc., Fiverr allows users to buy and sell professional services online for as little as $5. The company has additional offices in New York, Chicago, Miami, and San Francisco and has raised $111 million in funding to date.
